Our History

The Eastern Ontario Manufacturers Network (EOMN) was created as an expansion of the Ottawa Manufacturers' Network (OMN) in 2010. With funding from the government of Ontario's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the OMN was able to enlarge its mandate to connect with and support Canadian manufacturers throughout the Eastern Ontario region. The OMN was rebranded as the EOMN and officially launched in June 2010.

The original organization, OMN, was founded in 1991 with the mission to stimulate continuous improvement, innovation and quality in manufacturing through shared knowledge and resources among companies in the Ottawa-Carleton region. The EOMN was made possible thanks to the OMN's nearly 20 years of success in supporting and connecting manufacturers in the region.
